Which permits do I need to open a convenience store or gas station?
At minimum a sales and use tax permit, a certificate of occupancy, and a tobacco permit if you sell cigarettes. Most stores also add e-cigarette, lottery, SNAP, and a TABC permit for beer and wine. We build the exact list for your location on the first call.
How long does a TABC permit take?
It depends on the permit type, the city and county certification, and whether your application is complete. Incomplete applications are the most common reason for delays, which is exactly what we prevent. We give you a realistic timeline before we start.
Can you handle a change of ownership?
Yes. Buying an existing store usually means new permits in your name across several agencies, and the order matters. We coordinate the full transfer so there is no gap in operations.
Do you work outside of Houston?
Yes. We are based in the Houston area and file for clients across Texas. State and federal filings are location-independent, and we coordinate with city and county offices anywhere in the state.
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on which permits you need. We quote a flat fee per filing up front, separate from the agency's own fees, so there are no surprises.
